Today in room 1 koka Maria came in to teach us about searching for images that we can use and that are transparent. So we made some drawings using our skills of searching for images. I chose surfing because I love surfing. I chose the bulldog because I love bulldogs. Please leave a comment on my learning because I like receiving feedback from you:

this year in WBS, room 1 had an opportunity to design new gotcha certificates. A gotcha certificate is what you get when you have 3 gotchas. A gotcha is a piece of paper you get when you have been seen doing good things. I designed these two:

Nui Duathlon
LI: I am sharing some of my ideas, feelings and thoughts on my blog about the
Duathlon today!
Success Criteria:
|
Yesterday at WBS we had our duathlon. luckily It was sunny so we weren't in the rain. I felt nervous at the start of the race because I was afraid I would come last. I was very tired at the end because we had to do 2 laps running, 2 laps biking, and another 2 laps running. but because it was sunny we were all hot and sweaty. I had learned to control your breathing so I tried it and it helped a bit.

The books I used for my spine poem:

Wild animals

The meaning:
The moon monsters were wild animals. When they
came to earth, they landed on the 13 storey treehouse.

Tom Gates- Reading wheel
This week in room 1 we have been making 'reading wheels' about a book we have been reading. The book that I chose for mine was Tom Gates by L. Pichon. On our reading wheel there had to be 6 sectors that were equal in size. Each sector had to be exactly 60° (60 degrees). We had to learn about diameters, right angles, sectors, degree angles, a radius and how to use protractors.
diameter: a diameter is a line that splits a full circle (360°)
radius: a radius is a line that goes from the middle point to the edge of a circle.
protractor: an instrument used to measure angles.
right angles: a right angle is 90°. there are 4 right angles in a full rotation (360°)
